Just for Men - Dye for Men's Gray Hair & tips for coloring grey beard hair

By

Having gray hair has nothing to do with being old. Gray hairs can strike even when we are in our late teens and early twenties. However, gray hair can make us look old, and on the employment market in particularly, old (or even mature) often isn't quite what employers are looking for. 'Young and dynamic' equals success, and SUCCESSFUL is the image companies like to project. So, the debonaire Blake Carrington look just won't cut it nowadays, and you'd better believe it.

Banishing gray hair on head or face has never been easier for men than it is in today's youth orientated society. It can be done without sitting in a hairdresser's salon, and takes no longer than about five to ten minutes.

If you're embarrassed to buy hair coloring products at your store, just order from Amazon; nobody will ever know.

If your hair is already gray ...

In this case, I recommend 'Touch of Gray' by Just For Men.

What you probably don't want is to turn from gray to your original color over-night. A gradual change can be achieved with 'Touch of Gray', which darkens the hair by reacting to oxygen.

Available in light brown, medium brown, dark brown, black, and jet black, it contains no amonia and no peroxide. This means it is gentle and won't damage the hair or scalp.

If the first gray hairs are beginning to appear ...

First gray hairs can be blended out with Just For Men shampoo-in hair color, which is also suitable for the full head.

This is incredibly easy to use; just mix the color according to the enclosed instructions, apply it to the hair, leave for 5 minutes, then rinse. You're done!

If you don't want to cover the whole head, then just mix a portion of the two ingredients. And if you're unsure of which color to choose, take the lighter rather than the darker shade. Just for Men will not lighten your hair; it can only darken, and the lighter color will only blend out the gray, looking totally natural.

Don't forget that when our hair loses its color, our skin does as well. So, if you used to be dark brown, don't turn it back to that color because the contrast with your skin will be too harsh. The best color for dark haired men to choose is ash brown. This shade never looks artificial, and you'll retain your dark, clean-cut look.

Red hair is a problem, because red coloring products never look natural. The best one for reds is light brown, or even sandy blonde, depending on the depth of your natural tone.

Dark skinned men often do well to use dark brown rather than black.

Don't forget your beard ...

The Just For Men 'brush-in color gel' is just as easy to use as the shampoo-in color above.

It's especially designed for strong, bristly beard hairs, and is perfect for mustaches and sideburns, as well as full beards. If you have a thin chin-strap, or some other similar designer beard as I do, you'll find the supplied brush ideal for a detailed application.

I admit to having a few gray beard hairs, and even with my sensitive skin, this product causes no irritation.

Depending on your rate of beard growth, the 'brush-in color gel' need only be applied once every two to four weeks, unless you wear your beard very short.

Choose the same color for your beard as for the hair on your head.

Although not recommended in the product's instructions, I have used it on my eyebrows with absolutely no dire effects, and an added plus is that it doesn't dye the skin.

grey hair, or gray hair, how is it spelt? is a nightmare. I cannot tell you how many years i have been covering mine up, This is very helpful, as i am sure a lot of men would love to know more about how to get rid of the grey.

Hi Joy!

Well, for us it's 'grey', in the US it's 'gray'. I used the US spelling for the sake of Google, since I'm featuring Amazon US here. But I do have 'grey' in my tags.

Yes, that's what I thought; men don't usually talk to men about dyeing their hair etc., although many do dye it, or want to. And often when they do, it goes wrong.

You've probably seen men who are definitely past a certain age, but have the intense hair colour of an 18 year-old. People like me always notice that kind of thing.

With Just For Men, a natural look is more or less guaranteed, as long as the right colour has been chosen. So, why shouldn't I tell people about it? Many men will never hear about it otherwise.

Then there is the nightmare of keeping the grey covered, as you mention, but, as I say, the product really is easy to use, and taking only 5 minutes to develop certainly lessens the burdon.

As for the beard hair ... I wear a thin, short 'chin-strap' that has quite a bit of grey in it. Because it's so short, it needs doing about once every 3-4 days. I'd shave it off if everyone didn't tell me how much it suits me.

Joy, thank you for reading, and for a great comment!

All the best, Camlo
